The community of Paducah is grieving the loss of Kingston Wilson, a McCracken County High School senior who tragically lost his life in a car accident over the weekend.
According to reports, the accident also left another teen seriously injured. The injured student was airlifted to a trauma hospital for treatment. Friends, family, and local residents have come together to express their sorrow and extend their prayers for both families affected by the heartbreaking incident.
Andrea Cockrell Abrell shared a heartfelt message on social media, stating, “It has been a difficult day for many who live local to me. I’m spending some extra time with my son tonight. If you pray, please join me in praying for the family of the high school senior who lost his life in a car accident. Please also be praying for the other teen who was lifeflighted to a trauma hospital out of area. Keep him and his family in your prayers, as well.”
McCracken County Public Schools confirmed Wilson’s passing, releasing a statement of condolence:
“Our hearts go out to the student’s family, friends, and the entire Mustang community during this difficult time. To support students and staff, a grief response team will be available at McCracken County High School. We encourage parents to talk with their children and reach out if additional support is needed. Our school community mourns together, and we stand ready to support one another.”
