Randy Eckler Toronto ON Obituary and Funeral

The Jewish community mourns the passing of Randy Eckler, who left us on March 10, 2025. His loss is deeply felt by the countless friends, family, and community members whose lives he touched.

For the past year, Randy was a devoted and selfless volunteer at the Rally for Israel, dedicating his Sundays to setting up and managing the event. His unwavering commitment to Israel, its people, and the Jewish community was an inspiration to all who knew him. He often shared how the rally reconnected him with his Jewish heritage and how much he cherished the friendships he built along the way.

Randy’s dedication was not just in words but in action. His presence at Bathurst and Sheppard each Sunday was a testament to his passion, resilience, and belief in unity. To him, the rally was more than an event—it was a family, and to those who stood alongside him, he was like a brother.

Beyond his community service, Randy was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and generosity. He was a man of deep emotions, always expressing his love for his family. He often spoke of his son, Kyle, and his beloved granddaughter, Emma, whom he longed to embrace again. His love for them was unwavering and ever-present.

In recognition of his dedication, Randy was honored by Councillor James Pasternak with a certificate of appreciation for his “unwavering commitment to the Jewish community and Kol Israel.” Even as he faced health challenges, he held onto his dream of joining a mission to Israel in May with Tafsik and Habonim.

Randy’s absence leaves a profound void. His laughter, generosity, and famous homemade carrot cake will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.

He is survived by his loving partner, Arlene Berman, his son, Kyle, and his granddaughter, Emma.
